we'll make it happen, we'll turn it around
[ Well, that... certainly was a thing that happened. Viktor wishes he could unsee what he witnessed in the library, but it seems like it has etched into his memory forever. Thinking about it makes him sick to his stomach, and eventually he decides that he needs something to keep his mind off it, at least for a little while.
So around noon, a note goes up on the fridge: ]
If you need a distraction after what happened today, come to the dining room at 6 pm.
There will be food and we'll be playing truth or dare!
♥ Viktor Nikiforov ♥
[ There's also a cute doodle of himself underneath his signature. Later in the day, he writes copies of said note and slides them under everyone's doors. ]
[ Those who come to the dining room at will find that Viktor has made plenty of borscht, pancakes and open-faced sandwiches for them. He isn't the best chef ever, but it tastes pretty good and will fill you up! There's also juice, water, and a few bottles of alcohol for those who are old enough to drink; try to be responsible, okay.
And for the truth and dare, he's prepared shots of hot sauce as punishment for those who refuse a dare. ]

Also she knows that that Viktor kid won't mind, but she decided to bring her own "food," sort of mixing a little bit of warm water with blood from the blood bag (it was actually getting said warm water earlier where she saw the note) and is sipping that out of her glass idly as she's sitting imperiously in her seat, some strange big
rpg booktome next to her in case she gets bored.Either way, ]

Do you want to ask, or should I? [ ...may as well give them the option here, too.
When she's not engaging fellow watchers, she's helping herself to some of the sandwiches; borscht is a little too cold for her, but these are nice, and despite the alcohol she's been into mixing lately (or trying out mixes for, honestly), she's picking up water for tonight. Please keep hydrated and drink responsibly, everyone. ]

Judy's present in the dining room this evening, perched on the edge of a table probably not too far from where you're sitting. She's never seen without her notebook in hand, and anyone who watches her will see what she's got labeled sections: memories, weekly logs, things of that nature. Memories has been dogeared to the point of nearly ripping the page, looks like.
She's glad to see people trying to keep spirits up, even in light of so much tragedy recently. So she'll play.]

So here she is. Looking awkward and out of place.]
What's truth or dare?
[Not so long ago, she probably would have either refused to show up, or pretended to know. Now, she doesn't mind as much not knowing.]
no subject
Truth or dare is a party game where the players have to choose between answering a question truthfully, or performing a dare, both of which are decided by the other players. For example, I picked dare when Hanyuu asked me and now I have to call you Master for the rest of the evening.
You can refuse a dare, but then you have to drink hot sauce as punishment.

Got something for you all. A story, courtesy of Goldie. [He jerked his chin toward Watanuki, before looking down at his paper.]
The trial was set to continue then, with the dashing dwarf being the prime suspect. He hadn’t done it, rather the whole thing had been arranged to look as if he had. His own investigation, painstaking as it was, had revealed that no one he knew had had a hand in it, which led him to suspect the Wordsmith himself.
He should have known the game was never meant to be won.
With no other options, and all the evidence mounted in his favor, one by one his friends slowly cast a vote in his name. And now here he sat, waiting for the shadows to drop down upon him.
Instead, he felt the trickle of dust, as the entire room trembled around them. Startled cries erupted from the assembled bunch, and fear ran through the lot of them. Again the building shook, and anyone who could dove beneath podiums. Above him, the shadows reared back, their descent erupted by whatever threatened to collapse the building.
And then the ceiling came free, and a pair of long spider legs reached in, flicking effortlessly at the shadow goop and sending it off into the distance. The spider clambered further in, doing little for the fear of the onlookers. They scrambled away, but truly had no reason to fear. The spider had one target, one located off in the shadows.
Its onslaught was slow and painful, punctured repeatedly by the fangs of the beast. And when it was finally done, a powerful female voice announced loud as she could: “Good night, Wordsmith.”
And then she dropped, sliding down the leg of the spider and into the pit. The raven-haired woman was familiar to the dwarf, grin all teeth and disposition entirely impish. She leaned down to ruffle the hair of the dwarf, as if nothing had really happened above.
“Sorry I’m late,” she said, as the spider above shifted one last time, puncturing a ground level hole in the wall. The indication was obvious, and the former victims of the game of murder turned to it. It might not have been home, but they were free.

Plus, he liked that story. It was much better than the ones they had been experiencing recently.]
