we'll make it happen, we'll turn it around
[ Well, that... certainly was a thing that happened. Viktor wishes he could unsee what he witnessed in the library, but it seems like it has etched into his memory forever. Thinking about it makes him sick to his stomach, and eventually he decides that he needs something to keep his mind off it, at least for a little while.
So around noon, a note goes up on the fridge: ]
If you need a distraction after what happened today, come to the dining room at 6 pm.
There will be food and we'll be playing truth or dare!
♥ Viktor Nikiforov ♥
[ There's also a cute doodle of himself underneath his signature. Later in the day, he writes copies of said note and slides them under everyone's doors. ]
[ Those who come to the dining room at will find that Viktor has made plenty of borscht, pancakes and open-faced sandwiches for them. He isn't the best chef ever, but it tastes pretty good and will fill you up! There's also juice, water, and a few bottles of alcohol for those who are old enough to drink; try to be responsible, okay.
And for the truth and dare, he's prepared shots of hot sauce as punishment for those who refuse a dare. ]

[He totally means steal.]
If it helps, I've never stolen booze.

[There is literally a half-drunk bottle of sake at that party because of him.]

If you're having that much trouble, why not ask your friends for help?

I can take care of myself.
[Old habits die hard. Getting help with things like the hellhole they're in or important things at home is one thing, but one step at a time.]

...Silver, do you know why my title is 'Independent'?

I don't have any parents. The friends I have- as far as I can remember, at least- are casual acquaintances I know from school or through work. The person I know best is my boss, for crying out loud! I take care of everything myself: I do my own laundry, cook my own food, keep my own apartment clean, take care of my own bills, everything. When I'm sick, I make my own medicine. When I have a problem, I solve it myself. That's why I'm 'Independent'.
It's lonely. It's a horrible way to live. I'm fully convinced that, once we're out of here and back in our own worlds, I'll even end up dying alone, and that nobody will claim my ashes. Being 'Independent' means that nobody will remember you when you're gone.
I know I said we're alike, but you really shouldn't be like me. You have friends, friends who care a lot about you. You can trust them, and you should rely on them when you need them.

But he isn't going to say any of it. He's going to clench his fist briefly, look back uncomfortably at Gold, and pet Weavile's head instead.]
It doesn't matter in here. That's a problem for when we get out alive.

It matters in here. Even if we're only friends for a few weeks, you better rely on us too. All of us.
