WEEK 9.
The only two deaths this past week were due to rule violations; Bruce Wayne and Kimihiro Watanuki have joined the deceased. The deceased, however, still seem to be among you - that is, if Noir is to be believed. Either way, one thing is clear: for the first time in two months, a week has passed where no one has murdered. With no trial, Saturday is relatively quiet. On Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Once again, there are no new floors available to you; is this a good sign, or just claustrophobic? Either way, the air has been seeming a little heavier nowadays, despite the lack of murder - but who knows, maybe it's all in your head. |
SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY
[OOC: Welcome to week nine of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]
TUESDAY
ANNOUNCEMENT.
[As always, whether you follow instructions or not, the message comes across all the same.]
I believe we can all agree that your course of study here at Chronos University has gone on for long enough, Apprentices. So, you may all consider these next few days the end, in whatever sense you choose that to mean.
I do assure you however, that the only way to leave this place alive remains compliance with Rule Seven. Take that fact as you will, and I advise you to spend the rest of the week wisely.
no subject
We're going to work it out.
[ Says that to steel herself. Maybe other people too. ]

Because when I find you, I will kill you.

But for the most part, Lusamine's gonna be holed up in two places throughout the day--the first is the kitchen, where she's...actually doing some cooking rather than all salads every day! It's a modern day miracle. It mostly looks like she's got cookies being made. Chocolate chip, sugar cookies, snickerdoodles...it looks like she's trying to make every kind under the sun, really. Still, they're eventually brought out to the dining room with a note:
"Please feel free to help yourself."
...She won't actually be out there to moderate the taking, but. You know. Free cookies that aren't actually gonna be full of poison.
The other room she'll be holed up in, surprisingly enough, is the sewing room. She's got multiple kinds of fabrics out, and it looks like she's making huge bags. Up to eight in total--one might be able to find colors they commonly wear among the bag colors that Lusamine makes, but it looks like she's preparing for something. Either way, she's gonna be busy.]
sewing room
He doesn't waste much time, though; he's got a couple of empty jars and... well, it was one of the maidenly carry on bags, anyway, but it's looking quite a bit different now. Either way, he gets some material out and keeps working on it.]
What are you making?
no subject
Ah, something to hold onto items for everyone. Considering what may happen in the coming weeks, we should keep something on our person in case we are besieged, hm?
[...actually, you know, looking at the jars--]
Those bombs that you made...will they react to much jostling around?
no subject
They will. You can walk around with them, but mix around their ingredients too much and they'll go off. That's why I'm making this.
[...It looks vaguely like a fanny pack. A maidenly fanny pack. He opens it up and reveals little elastic straps tightly sewn to the inside and puts a jar in one of them to demonstrate. It's not going anywhere.]
no subject
...That's incredible work, Silver. That should prevent the contents from mixing to the point of no return...
[And. You know, exploding right on you. Because that'd be terrible as hell and would likely cause hella frostbite.
Still, Lusamine looks back to the current bag she's making...]
Have you obtained other weaponry? Perhaps from that machine.
no subject
The vending machine loves dumping out weapons. I've got two different swords, one of the hammers, and some kind of gun.
[And Gold's cuestick, but that doesn't really count.]
no subject
Well. She'll toss the bag over to Silver, then.]
This is for you, then. Do you believe this would be deep enough to hold the gun, at the very least?
no subject
Yeah. The gun's not that big.
[He gestures with his hands to show something pistol-sized. Just a little longer than his hands, that's all. That said, he looks the bag over.]
Thanks. This is pretty cool. It's a lot better than all the frills.
[...He is here for pink, but he's not here for white frilly stuff, really.]
...Do you want a backpack, Lusamine?
no subject
[...Oh! Lusamine perks a bit at that, smiling.]
Why, that would be incredibly sweet of you, Silver. I would like that--it would be nice to have something to hold everything.
[She hasn't gotten a bag to drop at all and carrying around stacks of paper in the early weeks and a sketchbook in the later ones has been torture.]
sewing room
That's a lot of fabric. What are you making?
no subject
Ah, bags for everyone here. If the Wordsmith intends to snuff us out at the end of the week, I don't want any of us to be unprepared. I figure that it may be useful to keep a weapon or two on us, just in case...but perhaps also to keep important items.
[...while she's here, though--Lusamine picks up some of the fabrics.]
Do you have a preference for color, while you're here? Or would a few of these be fine?
no subject
[There are definitely things she'd want to take with her.]
The colors you've picked out are fine.
[She likes them!]
Sewing Room
Oh, Lusamine. What's the new project?
no subject
[Lusamine's got some purple fabrics out when Elda walks in, and she chuckles.]
But no...I figure that it may be useful if we all have a bag to store items in. In case we should need to carry weapons or items, if the Wordsmith tries to snuff us out. Best to be prepared, hm?
no subject
[ And she has a handful of other fun things! She nods a little, getting into a seat next to her. ]
no subject
[She doesn't mind the company at least, and she sifts through the colors--switching between looking at Elda and the fabrics multiple times, as if trying to see what color would look best.]
While these won't be the best for holding any of those jars, we should be armed in some manner. This 'ending' sounds rather foreboding.
no subject
[ A beat ] And some changes of clothes.
[ More than this cloak thing, at least! She pushes the thing up, and it still is heavy on her shoulders ]
It seems I'm relying on the both of you.
no subject
[...oh!]
Did Silver make that cloak for you, then? I know he had made something for you back when I made the effigy of Kira. Whether or not...that is quite nice on you.
It is not so bad to rely on others, however. It simply requires balance, so you may rely on yourself as well. [...] Is there an issue, Elda?
no subject
... A good question, really. ]
It's been over a lifetime since I relied on much of anyone other than my husband before I arrived here. But then I was reached out to by those kind enough to go past my own barriers, Sportacus and Hanyuu. And I found myself reaching out to others in turn, yourself and Silver and some more. So you ask if it's an issue, and it is not.
I merely wish I could do more myself for you.
no subject
...Your continued existence is more than enough, I would say. Of course, if you wish to learn something, no one will stop you. Everyone brings something to the table, and we've...
[...ah.]
Not all the time in the world, but still plenty of it. You've learned to cook well, have you not?
