trusthell | WEEK 4.

WEEK 4
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira.

It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week?

Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with.

Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices.

If he was telling the truth that he wasn't a demon, he had to be an angel. He definitely wasn't a human. They can hide their wings if they need to, they do it when they go to the human world.

His horns were certainly fake and he swore me to secrecy. Honestly, I didn't think much of it at the time - I'd never thought I would meet a real demon.

I haven't met many vampires before you either.

Most don't, if they aren't vampires themselves!

[ She laughs that off, waving a hand dismissively. ]

Whatever demons or devils existed I always figured were just in the souls of humans.

Our worlds are kept separate for a reason. I'm sure a lot of Overlords would love to conquer the human world.

Oh, is that how it works? The humans of Europe at least did live in fear of demons taking them over.

I've never spoken to the guy who runs the show, but that's probably why. The law of the Netherworlds is that the strong conquer the weak.

[ The weak... huh. ]

Humans have a strange tendency to break the strong. I wouldn't be surprised if you hancho's not done it because of that.

I don't think the angels would like that either, and no one wants another war between the Netherworlds and Celestia.

[ ...politics.]

Oh, so their God really is looking after them?

Never spoken to him, and I don't want to.

But I guess you can take it that way.

[ He has no idea, the Netherworlds are enough of a mess on their own.]

[ Quieter, running her hand over the items on the table... ]

[ He notices that, but if she doesn't want to talk about he won't force the subject. It's noted though, maybe at a later time.]

I've been seeing them around, but not like I'd have anyone to exchange them with.
