WEEK 4.
Three more have died this past week. Milla Maxwell was killed for breaking a rule, Chiyuki was murdered, and you all had a hand in executing Yoshikage Kira. It seems like this isn't going to stop any time soon. How many more will join them this week? Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Despite the Wordsmith's reaction to the last trial, it seems as though you've been rewarded once again for a job that was...well, it was done, even if he didn't explicitly say it was well-done. Another door has opened in that stairway, it seems, leading you further down into the building; once again, there are more rooms down there, more things to occupy yourselves with. Or perhaps just more means to get creative with regards to how you take initiative with your fellow Apprentices. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 20 |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

Well, her first stop is going to be the vending machine after all of that--hoping for something to calm her nerves a bit. Her haul this time is a bit...questionable, but it gives her an idea of how to deal with the stress. ...And some cute items, she'll be wearing those earmuffs because they're cute, at least.
Either way, most of her day is gonna be spent in the Dojo, having one of the mats propped up against the wall while she practices with the throwing knives. ...Well, attempt is the better word for it--Lusamine was never one for upper arm strength, and most of them don't even make it the full length of the throw. The ones that do may as well have landed on the floor, and while it's letting Lusamine release some pent up energy, it's making her frustrated as hell all the same.
The few times she comes out will be for meals--she'll be in the Dining Room with some of the items she won't be using from the machine. Mainly the green mascot suit, the nib pen, the pagan dance, and the feather pen. As much as she likes the boxed lunches from the machine, she's kind of just...picking at her food today. Distracted. And murmuring to herself.]
Why on earth did you do that...? You idiot...

[we're all so fucked up right now, what does he do, um]
...
Hey. I'm getting better at the hot cocoa thing, I think. You... want me to make some?
no subject
[It's a little snappish, but. Well. It's probably obvious why, at this point.]
I certainly hope no one decides to get creative with a murder now. We're going to be in trouble if this pattern continues--if we all don't get made into a show by the Wordsmith.
no subject
...
[...should he even discuss the good news...]
I... think I might do a little investigating. I think that might be a good idea. If we find something, it might get us out of here, right?
no subject
Be careful, Guzma. [The tone is definitely scolding. But at the same time, it's...] If the situation starts to look back, get out of there before you get a sword in your chest. I don't want you dying here.
...I can't afford having you die out here, at this point. [She averts her gaze when she says that.] Understood?
no subject
[...don't smile like a twitterpated schoolboy, don't smile like a twitterpated schoolboy.]
I just... need to make sure I sleep in my room, which shouldn't be a problem. It's not like I sit down anywhere long enough to take some Zs.
no subject
[Good boy. You're too useful to die.]
That seems obvious enough, at least. If he does rear his ugly head, however, keep that in mind as well. We know what he's capable of now...as well as that creature.
[...]
I can only imagine what Angela must have done, but...let's see to it that the mistake is not repeated.
no subject
...anyway, being careful. Yeah. That... goes for you too. I guess I barely have to say it, but...
[He shakes his head, not really wanting to continue.]

dojo;
Hello Miss. Are you attempting to get in some practice?
no subject
I'm attempting to learn something new. I...don't ever want to feel that powerless. I'm not going to allow it to happen again.
no subject
I understand.
...Would you like a little help with that?
no subject
[Lusamine definitely sounds interested, at the very least.]
I could use some pointers, if you are willing to provide.
no subject
[ It's not very elegant so he doesn't throw knives or small blades/swords (besides him being used to using only his own blade), but the knowledge is there. Kind of like how he magically knows how to read a book without ever having read one before. ]
First, when you're in position, make sure your stance is straight, and a little loose. I suppose this goals without saying, but make sure you're facing your target, and make sure you're not gripping your knife too loosely, or it can fall a shorter distance than the target.
Easy to follow so far, right?
no subject
[Lusamine does listen, at the very least, and tries to emulate it. ...She's not actually sure what the stance is, so she's. Kinda. Making it up as she goes--but at the very least, she's got a tighter trip on the knife itself, makes sure her pose is straight, and looks back to him.
...Admittedly, she kind of goes back and forth whether to simply grip the handle, or have her fingers touch the blade to steady it. That's. Something she's looking back to Mikazuki for.]
May I ask how exactly I should be holding these? I want to make sure it's perfect.
no subject
Ah yes, ...you will want to have your thumb on the spine of the knife -- and essentially sort of grip it like you're holding a hammer? You're already gripping the handle so I don't have to tell you to do that at least. Let me know if you need any further instruction on holding the knife... or any clarifications.

Dojo
I'm guessing they're not as easy to toss as Pokéballs.
[Weavile goes ahead and collects the extras for her, though!]
no subject
Ah...it's not the tossing that's the hard part. Though I suppose it is, because having them reach or stick to their destination is the problem entirely.
[She looks to the knives, shaking her head. That...was stupid.]
...They're not as light as I would have expected them to be.
no subject
[Is that it? He'll give Lusamine's strength the benefit of the doubt here.]
Why are you tossing them, anyway?
no subject
[Lusamine looks to the blades with a shake of her head.]
...I'm still sore that I didn't get one good hit on him. I want to be prepared, if someone tries that again.

Mind if I take Pagan Dance?
no subject
I would not have taken you the kind to play, sir. But certainly. I have no use for it.
[ALL YOURS BROSKI]

no subject
[At least they aren't entirely useless. Lusamine waves her hand a bit.]
It's all yours. Do tell me how it is in exchange, hm?
no subject
"Become a god and exact divine retribution on humans"... Well, that sounds interesting.
no subject
[Lusamine laughs.]
It sounds awfully violent. Perhaps the Wordsmith was fond of it, and wanted to share his experience with the masses...
