WEEK 3.
As the second week draws to a close, two more have joined the deceased. Christo and Alani are dead, leaving twenty-six of you remaining. It may not seem like very many have died, but their absence will certainly be felt. Saturday is given to regrouping and rest; on Sunday morning the clock chimes as it always has, but at least there are no bodies to find today. It seems you're safe for now. The night before wasn't necessarily a peaceful one, however; you'll probably feel a bit groggy when you wake up, and it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Just like last week, a door in the stairwell has opened, leading you down further into the building; there are more rooms open to you down there - possibly even one that you'll find personally interesting. Go ahead and explore all you like; after all, you did well at completing your lessons this past week. APPRENTICES REMAINING: 25 |

[OOC: Welcome to week three of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Wordsmith, you can do so through letters or the switchboard!]

Lieze... Lieze was my family, and my secret is that it's my fault that she's dead. Void thought I took her from him, and he showed up one day to take her back. We fought and Lieze got in between us, trying to get us to stop. She jumped right in front of one of his attacks and he...
It's all my fault, I couldn't save her. I wasn't strong enough, I'm never strong enough to save anyone...
[ Maybe he shouldn't have said anything, because he can't stop the words from spilling out. He doesn't know what else to say, doesn't know if he can say anything else, so he just buries his face in his hands.]

I would never blame you for what happened.
[ Why would he? ]
It sounds like by the time she had jumped in there had barely been anytime to react. The only other person besides her who should've had time to stop would be that man who had been attacking. He sounds like he would have been powerful enough to do at least that.

But I wasn't any of those things.
[ The logistics of it didn't matter, because regardless of whether it was impossible or not, Killia felt like he should have been able to do it anyway. That was the only thing he was ever good at (in his eyes), and he wasn't good enough when it mattered.
He moves his hands from his face, because there's no point hiding from his past (especially literally) and it's not like he really wants to forget. Still he can't quite look Mikazuki in the eyes, though he does reach out for a second, before thinking better of it and letting his hand drop.]

He carefully takes Killia's hand within both of his own, if he's allowed, giving him a rather thoughtful look. ]
If there is anything I can do for you, let me know. For now, I will do my best to continue remaining by your side.
[ His eyes never leave Killia as he says this. ]

I don't want to fail you too. [ This is why he tries to distance himself from others, because he never felt like he could do anything in the end. Christo's recent death was evident of that enough, just another reminder that he was powerless. But this place was too restricting, and he couldn't just duck out for a while like he did in the pocket Netherworld. It was already too late to avoid becoming close to someone.]

[ Mikazuki is actually not too sure if the other man will be able to protect him, but he wants to be able to protect Killia (along with Estelle and a few others), and deep down he also knows that getting close to someone was dangerous. But... ]

"Just make up your mind already."
But by not withdrawing, wasn't that a decision enough? The thoughts in his head protested that no, he was being weak on this too like everything else. Eventually he manages a word, however soft even if he doesn't believe it himself. ]
Maybe. [ It was better if he focused on something else, that much he knew for sure.]
You don't need to tell me your secret, I trust you.
no subject
[ In fact, he feels like telling Killia, so he'll tell him. ]
You see, you already know.
My secret is that I'm part of a hidden army made by a Sage who was contracted by the government. This army fights against the History Revionists in order to keep them from changing history. It's really something so simple.

I don't think anyone would target you either, it would make more sense to go after someone with no battle experience. Or those that have it but are at a disadvantage, like Christo and Adelina. [ He is kinda talking to himself, but rationalizing aloud helps. So does holding the sword spirit's hand, but he's kind of forgotten he's still doing so.]
no subject
[ Mikazuki has constantly thought it was plausible someone could target him, but he doesn't say that. He doesn't need to worry Killia needlessly. ]
I believe you may have a point. So, hopefully people who are in that category will do well to look after themselves this coming end of week.
[ He is very acutely aware that the other is still holding his hand, and so he gets a fantastic idea to tease him a little by rubbing at Killia's hand with one thumb, with a smile. ]
no subject
Huh? [ He's just confused, this is what being stuck with Seraphina for months, who constantly calls her "my prince" and tries to woo him 24/7 will do to a guy.]
no subject
[ He tries to look innocent. ]
no subject
[ He actually visibly flusters a bit, wings unfurling then furling again. And looks like he's not saying anything (or moving), complete deer in the headlights look.]
