Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-01-22 12:35 am

Welcome.

You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here.

Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now.

Maybe you should have a window in the first place.

This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out.

Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring.

If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building.

Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems.

But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this.

Welcome to Chronos University.

[well yes but SOMEONE needs to be dignified okay]

Of course! That is no problem.

[Let her just go down to one knee for a moment, taking care in picking Judy up--the trip to the shoulder is quick enough at least. But--]

Be sure to hold on, hm? If you are feeling unsteady, I'll put you back down.

[If she gets the okay, she'll start to stand again--it's a little interesting with someone on her shoulder, but it's not too much trouble.

...Even if it feels like there's an angelic chorus going on in her head, but you know. That's what happens when you pick up a bunny okay. This is the best day ever.]

[Judy nods, though she's surprisingly steady on her feet even as Lusamine stands back up. What she really has to watch out for is her hair. Goodness there's a lot of it...]

No worries! I think I'll be fine up here. Miss...

[She scans the profiles she can now see before looking back at Lusamine with a smile.]

Lusamine?

[Lusamine's hair is practically an entity all it's own, honestly, and she'll at least try to push some of it out of the way so Judy can take a good look.]

Indeed. It's so wonderful to meet you, Officer--your station must be incredibly proud to have someone like you working for them.

[She has a slightly bigger smile on her face than usual, and really, she's just trying not to look so giddy. It's. A little hard...]

Oh...you think so?

[She hasn't really felt all that welcome to be honest...it's clear there's a bit of bias against smaller animals such as herself.]

I mean, sure I'm no Elephant or Wolf but...I get the job done just as well as everyone else. I just need more opportunities to prove myself, that's all.

[Which she would be doing if she wasn't....here.]

[Oh...]

Officer...

[...]

I would say that this opportunity is as good of a chance as any. Don't lose heart.
officerhops: (for you)

[personal profile] officerhops 2017-01-26 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
[Judy smiles a little to herself, her ears falling back somewhat.]

Call me Judy.

[Lusamine smiles.]

Judy it is, then.

[It's good to see her at least a little bit happier. Even the oddest Buneary shouldn't be sad!]
officerhops: (Sometimes we come last)

[personal profile] officerhops 2017-01-27 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
[You're totally the best and not at all a bad person, Lusamine.

Judy continues scanning the profiles, her ears flicking as she starts to put names to faces.]

So...what is it that you do back home, Miss Lusamine?
elepe: (SHOCK ❇ Mind repeating that slowly)

[personal profile] elepe 2017-01-27 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
[Damn right she is, totally amazing.]

Ah... [...You know, this is kind of weird to say in front of the Not!Buneary, now that she thinks of it. Still, maybe...]

Well, the Aether Foundation is a place that takes endangered, abused, and abandoned Pokemon, taking care of them until they are able to go back into the wild. We ensure their needs are met while they are there, and that they have the chance to experience the love and care they may never have gotten if we hadn't rescued them...

[...]

They are quite different from you, for the record, just...ah...

[Should she have even said anything oh god]
officerhops: (I'll just start again)

[personal profile] officerhops 2017-01-27 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[That...sure is a little weird, yeah. Any mention of the Wild certainly gets Judy to stiffen a bit, her nose twitching as Lusamine continues to explain. It sounds reasonable enough, at least from a standpoint in which Pokemon aren't as capable on their own as animals from her world are.]

Yeah, Gold told me a little bit about them. We seem pretty different...but it's nice that you're trying to help them.
