Trustfell 4: Trust Fall or Die Hard ([personal profile] trustwellness) wrote in [community profile] trusthell2017-01-22 12:35 am

Welcome.

You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here.

Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now.

Maybe you should have a window in the first place.

This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out.

Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring.

If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building.

Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems.

But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this.

Welcome to Chronos University.

[look at how flexible he is he will be a boon in their upcoming challenges!!!]

I'm Sportacus, by the way! [and he is polite enough to stop his nonsense for a second and thrust out his hand towards him.]
certaingiant: (CALM //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
[Handshakes he can do, particularly when Sportacus isn't stretching.]

Christo. Pleased to meet you.

[now let's go home and never see each other again]
sportadork: (I'll be your dog)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-22 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
[but can he do RIGOROUS AND EXCESSIVELY FORCED handshakes???]
certaingiant: (FALL //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
[Please don't break his arm off!!]

Th-that should be enough, I think!

[He is a squishy mage and ow.]
sportadork: (well it's hard when you love them)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-22 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
-- Oh, I'm sorry! Did I hurt you? [/forgets his own dumb strength]
certaingiant: (EXASPERATED //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
Not too much...

[He just might be sore for a bit.]
sportadork: (died broke)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-22 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I should not have hurt you at all! [has the decency to look sheepish about it.] I'm sorry, it's just that I haven't really shook hands with anyone in a while!
certaingiant: (REALLY //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Not at all? What were your circumstances like before coming here?

[He just shook hands with someone recently, himself.]
sportadork: (I must go)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-22 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I was traveling, mostly! I haven't stayed in a town for quite a while. [he needs to be invited! you know! like a vampire!]
certaingiant: (HONEST //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[I swear to god if Sportacus is our obligatory vampire]

Ah, I see. That far from civilization?
sportadork: (and I know I can do you proud)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-22 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
About three kilometers.
certaingiant: (CONCERNED //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
...That's not incredibly far.
certaingiant: (CONCERNED //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-22 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. That's a different situation.

[He was going to be very confused as to why Sportacus didn't just pop in for a nice cup of tea every so often if he was that close.]
sportadork: (just living for today)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-22 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I live in an airship, you see! It has very nice views, but it can be a little lonely. And I haven't gotten a letter in a while. [yet]
certaingiant: (REALLY //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-23 12:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you run the airship by yourself?

[It must be difficult to manage an entire airship without Prinnies. Err, servants.]
sportadork: (I will not quit)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-24 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Well, not really. I have a computer that runs pretty much everything for me. I just pedal sometimes.
certaingiant: (HELLO //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-24 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, that's more convenient than Prinnies. Less annoying, too.]

I might enjoy that sort of life, actually. It sounds peaceful.
sportadork: (and I always fight back)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-24 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
It is! And that's why I like having towns to visit a lot more. [PEACE IS SO BORING....]
certaingiant: (GLAD //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-24 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
In that case, why do you live up there?

[You could just... live in a town...]
sportadork: (this world's a pirate)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Where else would I live?
certaingiant: (NEUTRAL //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-25 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
In a town? Like normal humans?
sportadork: (maybe I'm scared)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
I only go into towns when there's trouble, or if someone has invited me. [... okay how does he explain that without actually outright lying.] I'm a hero! A job that involves a lot of traveling.
certaingiant: (SLEEPY //)

[personal profile] certaingiant 2017-01-25 10:32 am (UTC)(link)
...Were you exiled, perhaps?

[There's no reason you can't be a hero and live in one place, as far as Christo can tell.]
sportadork: (to see if I can fly)

[personal profile] sportadork 2017-01-25 10:42 am (UTC)(link)
Wha-- No! I have not been exiled from anywhere! It's just... [think, sportacus! the brain is a muscle!] It wouldn't be a smart idea for a hero to be in a place where nobody needed one, yes? And no one needs me right now.
