Welcome.
You wake with the unshakable feeling that you shouldn't be here. Perhaps you were in the middle of something, perhaps you weren't. Either way, you're waking up in an unfamiliar location with no recollection of how you got here. The room you've woken up in is sparsely-decorated, though that might be difficult to tell at first given how nice the beds are...but eventually you'll notice a few things that are a little...off. Maybe the scent is striking you wrong - it's clean, but it's not yours. Maybe your bed back home doesn't support your back in quite this way. Maybe you should be seeing sunlight through your window by now. Maybe you should have a window in the first place. This isn't right, but leaving the room won't give you any more answers. You might want to grab the silver key sitting on your trunk on the way out. Don't worry though, you aren't all alone here. Once you step outside your room into the hallway, you'll notice that a few others are emerging from their rooms as well. It looks like they're just as confused and concerned as you are. Feel free to talk to them, but none of you know how exactly you wound up here and maybe some useful information can be found by exploring. If you follow the hallway to its end (and it's a very long hallway), you'll eventually arrive in the foyer. You'll find some very interesting information about yourselves on the wall near the clock. Perhaps even more importantly, if you look on the other side of the multi-pendulumed thing, you'll find other framed information that you might want to pay attention to. It could very well be the key to escaping this strange place, after all. Don't worry if you forget the rules, you can find them in every room of the building. Of course, search as you might, you won't find a doorway or a window of any sort. Getting out won't be so easy, it seems. But who knows? Perhaps your fellow captives have something to say about all of this. Welcome to Chronos University. |

You're one hot lady for bein' that old.

...She laughs. It's not a mocking laughter by any means, and a hand goes in front of her mouth while she does it--if anything, it sounds more like that was just the kind of absurdity needed to break some bitterness. Congrats, Gold, you're a good kid and she likes you already.]
Oh, you sweet boy! You know just what to say to make a woman feel better, hm?
[Really, she hears it quite a bit, but that makes this situation at least 10% more bearable.]
Perhaps I can overlook the slight. There are some more important things to worry about...I bet your parents must miss their sweet, well mannered child.
no subject
[Gold preens his hair a little, just brushing his hand through it and putting back on his cap.]
Figure I'll try and work whatever the hell kinda thing's in our room to do just that, tell her that I'm stickin' around for my education and all that! She won't mind a bit.
["For my education" yeah fucking right.]
no subject
[He's like a Pichu, she swears--so full of energy and spunk.]
Hopefully this stay won't be exceedingly long. I couldn't imagine what disarray we would all have to go back to...
no subject
Oh, probably just the world endin' again for me, happens every year or so! It's no big deal. [With a carefree wave of his hand, glancing at her profile. Huh.] What about you, miss, you got any big plans back home?
no subject
Boy you are doing her a frighten, but at the very least she'll answer the question before she just.]
Well, we were expecting some new Pokemon today. The Aether Foundation is a shelter for Pokemon who are in danger. I prefer to be there when they are brought to us, so they know that they have a motherly presence looking out for them...
[--Okay NOW TO THE POINT] You're...saying that the world ending. Is rather common where you come from? Have your police been slacking on taking down whoever tries?
no subject
Oh, yeah, definitely common! Like I said, happens every year. And the police do their best... but it ain't their fault they're pretty weak compared to me and the others! People who've got Pokédexes like me are the strongest in the world~.
[probably.]
no subject
[She can at least acknowledge that much, but.]
But I can't believe that something like this is a constant struggle for you. And the fact that they would send children out to take care of them is irresponsible. You all should be out traveling the world and enjoying yourselves, not dealing with world-ending circumstances.
no subject
I met my best friends through something like that! It's part of our world travelin' thing, sometimes shit happens and we clean it up and then we go back to just hangin' around. It ain't a struggle or anything like that, it's fun.
[It's earnestly said too; it's something he believes completely, because even if it's hard sometimes they've always made it through and it has been fun for him. That kind of life is something he enjoys immensely.]
no subject
...It won't stop me from worrying. But if you've succeeded multiple times, I suppose there's no sense in dwelling on it.
[...You know, now that she thinks of it--Lusamine reads the profiles again for a moment, pondering something...]
Would one of those friends happen to be a 'Silver'?
no subject
[couldn't be the names giving it away]
no subject
[...It's still odd, but hey, at least both of the metals are precious resources? It's certainly not the oddest duo of names she's heard.]
no subject
[Which is mean to say about your best friend, yes, but still! What's a few jabs between friends!]
I've got a lotta friends with names like that, though! There's my other friend Crys, which is short for Crystal, and the older trainers are named Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. I've even got a couple of juniors named Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.
[colorful names. precious names. crystal is a little weird for the whole "precious resources" trio but they're good. this is fine.]
no subject
...You're all coordinated quite nicely, I must say. [That is seriously kind of uncanny now that she thinks about it? Really, a group of people with names that are just so out there, and they all know each other...
...Seriously, this is the kind of weird stuff that only shows up in storybooks--]
Perhaps this is a silly question, but do you think destiny brought you all together?
no subject
[A shrug. He doesn't really think of "destiny" as a wholly deciding factor in things anyway, but seriously that was like one hell of a coincidence.]
We're all Pokédex Holders though, so maybe! Weirder shit has happened.
no subject
[...because really, what the hell is in the water over there. Alola just has a gangster problem like normal, halfway civilized people.]
It must be an interesting story, if you put it like that. Would it be too personal to ask just what happened to you two, on that fateful day?
no subject
So my back pack got mistakin' for someone else's and got stolen, so I thought they'd head up to New Bark's professor's place to grab some more stuff! I snuck in through the window 'cause I thought the thief would be layin' in wait with a trap and met Silver comin' out! I thought he was the guy that took my stuff, but that was my bad.
[... Should probably not mention that Silver did end up stealing something though.]
We fought in the lab and I ended up chasin' him pretty much all across Johto to get back at him for what I thought he did! We saved the world with Crys and now we're all best friends.
[There is so much of that story that's missing.]
no subject
I do certainly hope you got your backpack back after all of that trouble. [Because really, who the hell else could've taken it? A wild pokemon, a stupid thief?] It's so wonderful to hear stories like these. Circumstances like that tend to forge the most powerful of friendships. And I imagine you three have seen much of the region you've been to now, hm?
no subject
[It'd been fun. It got him two best friends, people he'd put his life on the line for, and he got to see so much of the region he'd been born in. Something he could've never done before-- something he never even thought about doing before.]
They tend to be pretty busy though, so it ain't like we hang out a lot. Crys is doin' Crys things, Silver is doin' Silver things, and it's whatever.
no subject
[It's honestly really wonderful to hear the story, bare as it is--all of these kids who get the chance to go around the world, enjoy themselves as they learn to understand their environment, and make such amazing friends in the process...]
Well, if all of your free times align with one another...I would love to have you all visit the Alola region. It would be a bit of a trip from Johto, however. And I imagine you all may be...quite busy, [If, you know, the world keeps ending every year.] but it would be so wonderful to see you all there.
The environment would certainly be different for you all, I imagine.
[Tropics, man.]
no subject
I'll kidnap them both if I gotta! What kinda place is Alola anyway? How different is it?
no subject
[Well, if you don't mind the possibility of burning to a crisp at least. Sunshine is great and all but not if you're more red than a Scizor--]
To say nothing of the many Pokemon who populate the region. Though, I hope you are all not seasick, as most of the traveling between islands is done by boat.
